Theatre Etiquette
Unfortunately, photographing and video-recording of the performances is not allowed.
Please remember to silence your cell phones and other electronic devices.
Please refrain from referencing these devices during the show. A lit screen nearby is distracting to surrounding guests.
Please refrain from talking during the show. Save that idea until intermission or just after the performance.
There should be no dancing on the sides or in the back of the theatre during the performances. We know the little ones get very excited and want to emulate the dancers on stage. But, the theatres are dark and dangerous, and this activity distracts other guests from enjoying the performance.
We know the little ones like to practice their dancing on the stage, or stand up there for cute pictures. But the venues have a strict rule about no guests on the stage at anytime. This is for the safety of all guests.
The decorations and centerpieces are there for all to enjoy. Unfortunately, we cannot offer them as door prizes and they are not available to take home as a souvenir.
Feel free to applaud throughout the performance when the dancers perform beautifully. Dancers are encouraged upon hearing your reactions.
It's also a welcomed response for the audience to laugh at the humorous parts in a ballet.
