Bring The Little Mermaid To Life

A Community Arts Initiative

We are very excited to announce that Kingwood Ballet is bringing a new storybook ballet to the community. The Little Mermaid is a classic story written in 1836 by Hans Christen Andersen, and is still very popular with today's families. The Little Mermaid will be presented at The Nathaniel Center, Kingwood Texas in dinner-theatre format, a unique experience for our community.

In addition to producing a new ballet, we are using this opportunity to educate our dancers on what it takes to create a new production. They will learn about the vision, planning, scheduling and implementation. They will experience the work it takes to complete a project such as this, and carry forward this knowledge throughout life after Kingwood Ballet.

With your help we can add this storybook ballet to our repertoire with the same quality and experience our audiences have come to expect from Kingwood Ballet. Your investment will be used for the music, choreography, sets, props, backdrops and costumes.
